When my grandfather died, there was nothing I could do but wallow in sadness. Even though I knew he was expected to pass away in less than a few months because of cancer, nothing could prevent me from diving deep into a pit of despair.

I wanted to help with the funeral floral arrangements and services in Singapore. Despite being stricken with depression, I couldn't do much else but accept the task and get on with it.

To make things easier, I hired a funeral director in Singapore to help me organise the plans. What's funny is the total opposite became the outcome. I was the one helping the funeral director in return.

It made sense since Ì was paying for their funeral services in Singapore. As such, the funeral director arranged a few things that helped the ceremony overall. I was there to help the director, but their services also aided me in a lot of ways.

Give me time and space

During times of grief, sometimes all a person needs is time and space. Based on experience, this was what I most definitely required.

Fortunately, hiring a funeral director can give you time and space away from all the administrative tasks. The director will handle all the tedious work and documents as you can focus on less stressful responsibilities.

As the director worked on making the arrangements, I was taking the time alone to digest all the hard-to-swallow emotions. I still couldn't believe my grandfather was dead, a person who was close to me when I needed him.

Choose a venue

I don't mind hosting the ceremony at any venue, but the director still helped me with a few ideas. They gave us an ideal funeral home where we could arrange the ceremony.

It was a beautiful spot. I think my grandfather would've loved it. There was a surrounding aura of sunlight and nature. I bet nothing could topple this gorgeous venue.

Coordinate the ceremony

I'm not outspoken; I barely enjoy having to speak out for others when necessary. Thankfully, the director coordinated each stage of the ceremonial rites.

A funeral isn't just about mourning the dead. It's about paying respects for the great memories we've shared with the deceased, not the mention celebrating a life well-lived.

While I was sad about my grandfather's death, I still paid (literally) for my gratitude to the funeral parlour. They helped me a lot in arranging the funeral rites, even though the roles are supposed to be reversed.

I thank Hock Hin for providing our family with Buddhist funeral services in Singapore. They gave more than enough help in arranging the ceremony.

The funeral may be sombre gloomy, but everything turned out to be alright in the end. I took enough time to grieve, and I'm content with the outcome.

I thank Hock Hin for making my life easier during a time of darkness. If you need reliable funeral services in Singapore, I suggest going to Hock Hin.
